WOMEN’S SHIRT BACKGROUND STORY:
From the inception of Alexander West in 2006, women accompanying their significant others at men’s appointments have expressed their wish for similar custom shirting options. Off-the-rack shirts do not fulfill women’s needs despite multiple standard sizes and petite/tall options. Common problems involve arm length, body length, chest gapes or pulls, narrow/wide shoulders and billowing around the waist. After 3½ years of research and development, trials and iterations, Alexander West is finally launching its women’s custom shirt line fulfilling women’s wish for a great fitting custom shirt.
Alexander West takes into account a variety of fit issues related to women’s dress shirts and produces an ideal, customized fit. Women can now enjoy a custom shirt while feeling confident that their shirt looks, feels and fits great!

All women’s shirt style and fitting consultations are only available at AW’s Park Avenue South location. All consultations are by appointment only.

STYLE OPTIONS AND ORDER STEPS
Clients may select from a variety of shirt details such as collars, cuffs and monogram styles.
1. Shirt style consultation and detailed fit evaluation
2. Choose from over 700 cotton and linen fabrics including Thomas Mason Italian fabrics.
3. Make a “test” shirt for new clients and client comes in for second fitting. (3 to 5 weeks)
4. After shirt pattern confirmation, AW processes regular shirt order (3 to 5 weeks)
